My GCSE Results.
Gotta blog something other than comic once in a while, eh?
Ok, today was the first day back! and ooooh man, I missed school so much!!! I always love the feeling of seeing everyone after a long Summer holiday. Everyone looks different, subtly or drastic. And just screaming at each others face is sucha good feeling :)
… and of course, new students. So far one hottie.
So I’m a Year 12 now, form 6.
and I GOT MY GCSE RESULTS! For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a big deal :D
AND OH MY GOD I FEEL LIKE A GENIUS!
Media Studies… A*!
Business Studies… A*!
English Literature… A!
Math… A!
Chinese… A!
PE… B!
English Language… B!
Science… C
I got 2A*, 3A, 2B and a C.
Holy motherfucking god, I got TWO A*!… more As than Bs too!
TEARS OF MOTHER FUCKING JOY!
For some people, it might not be a big deal… But during year 10 (the first year of the two year course), I was seriously like a big blob of UGHHH. I was really sad, i wouldn’t call is depressed, but I cried myself to sleep every night. I wouldn’t bother to wake up for school at least once every two weeks, and missed a total of month+ of school. All my school notes were scrunched up with random scribbles and un-readable writing.
Now I look back that was sucha stupid thing to do, conisdering the fact that GCSE is really important.
So during year 10 I missed out on a lot of class, resulting to only getting Cs, Ds and even Es in my mock exam.
But something happened during Summer. Which I have no idea what, but I felt really good and happy. So Year 11 was a blast! I only missed a day of school.
I remember hoping to myself that 7 months is enough to catchup with all the missed school work…
My final exams came and went… Working my buttocks off for English Literature and Business Studies.
I bounced back!
I did better than my brother too!
I was so surprised that I got two A*. Because I thought I SERIOUSLY screwed up my Media exam. My mind went blank and I kept repeating “this appeals to the audience by…”, like a broken record :p and with the whole Cloak and Dagger incident.
And Business, oh god. It was too easy, so I was convinced that I did something really wrong. But turns out it was actually easy.
I was expecting an A for PE, but oh well.
and as for Science, I was SOOOOO fucking glad that I passed it. Half of my tears was from relief that I passed it. lol. My whole Science exam was me guessing the answer, and randomly writing “respirtaion” in blank spots. And my God, I never struggled so much with the multiple questions.

But on the downside of the new school year starting, my best friend left school and moved to Canada. :/
and my other good friend’s leaving for the UK soon.
I don’t know, but if both of them were here with me today, my day would’ve been complete.

Whoa, the grades are definitely different in HK than what it is here. Mind giving a run down with what they are? I’m guessing a A* is basically a A+ and a E is the lowest grade? o_O For some reason I’m excited and happy for you and I don’t even know you, I think it’s the short sob story about how you cried yourself to sleep every night =S. Wowzers you’re in Year 12? I don’t know what grade that is compared to the States, but I’m assuming Year 12 is your last year until you graduate and off to college?!? Gah, I thought my city starts school early, but damn you’re school started about a week earlier than me. n_n
As for your best friend moving I hope it all goes well and you guys don’t drift away (thank gawd for teh internets), I can relate since I moved a few times in my life ^_^
Happy blogging Mao! =)
