Nightwing #149

Posted in All Blogs, Comics, Nightwing with tags , , , , , , , , on October 5, 2008 by Mao

As expected, this issue was A-MAZING!

The basic plot (and spoiler) is that Nightwing fights against all of Batman’s famous rogues gallery, which were created by Scarecrow’s fear serum. The fear serum was injected in prior issue, which was coated on a bullet Two-Face used to shoot at poor Nightwing :(
… lots of drama-lama,… Nightwing’s too late to save Carol; who gets shot by Two-Face.

rofl.

Nightwing fails once again.
PHAIL!

Anyway, this issue had tons of Kill Bill-esque ultra violence.
Which I thought was pretty damn cool :]

But I didn’t really dig the art too much.
I’ve seen better, and it should’ve defiantly been better since it’s an amazing issue.

I’m trying my very hardest to get her into American Comics, because that’ll mean she’s buy tons of TPBs! … which I’ll get to read :]

On with the post…

… maybe,… just maybe, he should leave the jokes to Joker.
There’s a link with the death of Jason Todd, which gives this issue another brownie point.

Ahhh~, and this issue’s pretty touching too :'[ Because of the serum, Nightwing’s seeing things, and in one of his delusions he sees his parents falling. But Nightwing saves them in a nick of time, and says…

[I’m sorry I can’t be butt-fucked to scan this…]

“Is this my mom and dad holding tight to me? No. Of course not. But it sure feels good to be together again even if it’s only a figment of my imagination”

Baaaaaw D:
I bet he’s gonna get hooked to drugs after this.

And yea, Carol gets owned.

blah blah blah,,,
After Two-Face, Harvey, found out she died, he goes on a bitch-fit and shouts that Nightwing was supposed to save her from his alter ego.

… :/
Didn’t like the ending of the issue too much. It continues onto #150 of Nightwing’s crossover with Batman R.I.P., which might I add that there’s barely any links with thus far.

omg guys, I just wanted to add; Thanks for viewing my blog! :D
On 2nd October I had my highest view of 210, which motivates me to keep on mindless-blogging! And the awesome thing is that I enjoy doing this, so yay for me (and maybe you) xD

<3~!

I couldn’t help, but laugh, in the last panel of Nightwing #147.

Seriously!
He suddenly realizes it’s his own blood; falls on his back, writhes in sudden agony and has a seizure.

And to add the cherry on the top, in the beginning on #148 he’s pimping! Minimal blood, in some scenes NO blood at all with sexy cuts in his costume.

I guess he’s used to getting shot at by now. -_-”
I swear, in the whole DCU he’s been shot at the most!

The smallest of things bothers me, as well as generating lulz.
I still love you Nightwing! <3

Ohoh! Just mothafucking checkout the last panel of #148!!!

I seriously can’t WAIT till the next issue! Imagine how awesome it’s gonna be!!! OH EM GEE~~~!!! … But weirdly enough *ahem*, the first thing that popped into my head was “holy shit! Who’s gonna save him?!”

I guess we aren’t used to him kicking some major ass.

Btw, I’m loving the artwork!
I also love Titan’s artist.

Titans made me love Beastboy! I thought he was pretty lame in Teen Titans.
I guess he stands out more, and (seems) is waaay more hilarious in a group full of hard-asses.

I really enjoyed the first issue yanno?
So far it’s been good, not very, but still enjoyable :D

But whats been bothering me is that Roy hardly gets any Roy-time! He gets like two things to say in every issue, and hardly gets any of his own panel. I mean, him at Dick are so hilarious together! But so far Dick’s been really strict and Roy’s really boring.
:/
Wouldn’t it be so adorable if Lian came to visit the Titans?! xD

And they made Wally gay!

Who knows what he might’ve said if Donna didn’t cut him off! >_<
Me no likey :(

lmao, and I found two English errors in the dialogues.
They should get a proper proof reader; e.g. Me. Hire me DC :D

The ending of this issue was nice; in a corny way.
“Bee-eff-eff 4eva bitches!!!”

I hope Donna’s costume stays that way. I hate her ugly red-stared one! Why does she need two costumes anyway?

LMAO! I just noticed that all the guys (except for Nightwing who’s mesmerized by Cyborg’s dildo head) are staring at Starfire’s nugga-nuggas!

Ledger’s Joker vs. The Joker

Posted in All Blogs, Batman, Comics, DC Comic, Joker, Movies with tags , , , , , , , on July 28, 2008 by Mao

I REALLY wonder how many Dark Knight reviews are out there by now. They’re all like a broken record, repeating the same thing over and OVER again (with exceptions of few critical reviews)… and my eyebrow twitches every time I see a new one.

*twitch twitch*

But what’s most common about all reviews are the standing ovations to Heath Ledger’s great performance as The Joker.

What I’ve seen and read about Ledger’s Joker is that he is “dark”, constanly blowing cars up and lacks telling jokes.

Doesn’t look too happy either.

In contrary, …
What I know of The Joker (the comic Joker), he’s supposed to be more ‘happier’ to a point it’s insane!, yet with grim and dark schemes. He’s supposed to give off an eerie vibe of madness!
He laughs and cracks jokes as he fucks people’s lives up! He smiles as he bashes Robin (Jason) to death with a crowbar. He laughs as he shoots and paralyzes Batgirl. He starts laughing hysterically even if he’s in a boo-boo.
And that’s a bloody hard thing to do!

But where’s the insanity Heath?

Maybe I’m being over critical.
You gotta know that Joker is the sole villain who can question the audience, of Batman’s sanity. After all, both of their lives got pretty screwed up. One was a failing comedian whose pregnant wife died, and the other’s parents got shot and killed right in front of his eyes. The only difference is that Batman manifests his insanity in a different way: by dressing-up as a Bat and fighting crime! There’s only a thin line between Batman and Joker
… one can crack a joke, and the other can’t.

All I’m saying. Ledger’s Joker could have loosenedup a little more. Get clownin’ around!

,,,

So the lesson of the day kids, smile at everything and anyone!
